7yo Kotare Mahdi won his M0 tonight at Melton
It was his 156th start in 4.6yrs
For the last 153 of those starts he hasn't had a real spell
He began his career in 2014 as a NZer but did not race until a 3yo and after his first three starts he had 6mths off before having three more starts to round out his 3yo campaign
Still in NZ he had 2mths between runs between his 3yo and 4yo campaigns (he went to the Douglas stable late 2015)
and when down in Tassie for a while he had 2mths between runs 3 years ago
But since then he has been somewhat of an iron horse
