I don't know what tote the HRV results are using?
R7 at Mildura paid $123.50 for Sandra O'Conner's She Can Rock the pole horse! ($71 fixed)

https://www.tab.com.au/racing/2019-10-30/MILDURA/MDU/H/7/Win

The results page is only showing $54.30

http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fields/race-fields/?mc=ML301019#MLC30101904

Sandra O'Conner then won the next with a $25 winner

I am thinking to myself - I hope she had the running double

THINK AGAIN - it jackpotted but there was only $33 invested in the running double pool

This is all wrong see post 3

Thanks Mark, you made me look at this again

My TAB page was somehow set to NSW (never knew this box existed and have never touched it so maybe it is something new - it will be useful in the future)

Anyway my first post is TOTALLY WRONG (except for the winners and story)

She only paid $54 in Vic and the running double pool had $965 in it

Even better than that Jim - I use the tote odds so Theo Aviator paid $109.70

There was some jackpotting in the multiples as the Fixed odds for the first four were

$81, $31, $61, $151

http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fields/race-fields/?mc=GP151119#GPM15111902

Aldo Cortopassi and sire Mr Aviator had a good night as his other runners
Roman Aviator ($26) came 3rd in R2 and
Naval Aviator ($16) WON R9 and paid $22 on the tote

These 3 horses are 1st, 2nd and 4th on Mr Aviator's top prizemoney winners

ps Theo Aviator's time of 1.53.7 was only 0.8 secs outside the Tk Rec for 2130m

A $101-shot saluting is generally considered a bookies delight but plenty of punters grabbed a slice of Dot The Eye, who Mick Bellman drove to victory at any old odds in the last at Shepparton on Saturday night.

Among the notable plays on Dot The Eye were:

$50 @ $101
$30 @ $101
$25 each-way @ $61/$9
$20 each-way @ $101/$13
$20 @ $101
$15 the win / $10 the place @ $151/$18
$13 the win / $12 the place @ $126/$16
$10 the win / $30 the place @ $126/$16
$10 the win / $20 the place @ $101/$12
$10 each-way @ $101/$13 (three separate bets)

Very surprising that they all got on

Looking at the Big Bets article

https://www.thetrots.com.au/news/articles/big-bets-punters-anything-but-cast-as-massive-odds-land/

I am amazed that the stingy TAB took 5 bets of between $20 and $30 at pretty much 125/1 on Our Sportscaster
The best part of a $15k payout for a take of only $115

Also seeing that they took/lost $32,500 to $5,000 on Amused at Mildura is amazing.
That is odds of $6.50 and he still started the backable odds of $5 fixed
The Tote Win pool on the race was < $10,000 (sure does fluctuate as the race before it was > $22,000 while the race after was < $6,000)
Gee it would be good to know what their Fixed holdings are

What is super amazing about that Noel
Is there were 5 first starters, 5 second starters , 1 having its third start and and 1 having its fifth
There was no supposed good thing or short favourite
Amazing to think a 1st starter out of a well performed mare ($149k and winner of three Gp2's) and a well performed 2nd dam ($131k) could start those odds

I first met Henry McDermott and his young family at a Mildura Cup carnival in the mid 1970s. I think it was Thoron that he bought all the way from Dubbo. One of his best horses was Waikare Queen, a very good pacer and ancestress of Waikare Colleen. Waikare Queen's dam was Queen Bee, a very good Trotter in the 1950s.

Really great to see both the Queen Bee and the McDermott families are still to the fore five decades on.

It was $81 on fixed odds when I noticed it and thought you cant let a McDermott trained first starter trotter go around for that price. Graham had one win only a few weeks back at huge odds. They know how to educate trotters that's for sure. So I had a little each way !

Lance had him spot on and did tell connections that he would run a good race - when he took off down the back three wide, he made ground pretty quickly and then just kept coming.
He has issues that need managing and cannot always get around that home turn as he is a big horse.
His form is actually pretty good if you look at the replays of his recent races.
Very happy for Lance and John Hawke for their persistence with this boy.
