I know I am an old fuddy duddy but the new ratings system tells me nothing eg 56-69

How I wish we could still have M1's and C5's etc etc which actually told you something - how many races the horse had won int that class

Drop backs, concessions, R wins etc didnt mean shit. 10 win horse could be in a C1-C2 on the regular.

Simplistic 1 win, 2 win, 3 win is the easiest and best system!

I still miss the old system
Look at R1 at Melton this coming Saturday
Isn't this supposed to be the equivalent of an M0
And yet Sweet Passion who won a $20k Melton race last week is in it
(and yes I know last week was a 4yo and older PBD/L4$ race)

ps R1 is at 4.47 so that even with 9 races the night is over not much after 9

I still haven't bothered to learn it.
It has to be complicated
I noticed Yoursnmine going around at Mildura is NR51
He has won 20 races and been placed in 1/3rd of his 187 starts
Isn't a 2yo first starter NR50

Yes.
Back in my day it was started at 28 class etc, & was easy to understand.
Why would they change something that worked is beyond me
