A new Vicbred tier will see progeny out of Victorian-based mares who are also sired by an Australasian bred stallion physically standing in Victoria eligible to receive a $12,000 FWB – up from the previous longstanding bonus of $7000.

I do welcome this new tier. The normal bonus is up to 8 and 9k also.

Personally I would have preferred a 1k bonus when registering a new foal that qualifies , that way more breeders would benefit. Not all foals win a race let alone make it to the races. It's the ones that don't make it that break the bank.
