Looked for some promo of this meet but cannot find it anywhere
If we are going to have two $25k races at little Boort on a Sunday afternoon we have to promote it to justify it, if we are not trying to get a return on this prizemoney (if it is only for the benefit of the participants) we may as well just put $100 into 500 Harnessweb accounts.
It does not matter that it is a busy time of the year, other states are still putting out plenty of stories. Cody might be on leave but surely we are not a one man band.

If you look back at the Central Victorian Championships, it's hard not to note the quality of the winners, especially when it was run as a heats into a final over the holiday period.
Today's 25,000 for each of the trotters and pacers...with questionable quality fields seems an extravagance.
Check out the past winners and you might agree that the race (how can it be a championship?) needs reviewing;

Agreed Noel but for those that tuned in, today's edition provided some good viewing
An incredible front running drive by Neil McCallum and an unflappable drive from the rising star Jack Laugher as he sat 3w the last lap
