Is Bettors Delight going to leave a successor?

First season sire (in Aus) Betting Line is near the top of the table but he had a big first crop and has already had 23 to race for 6 winners. 22 of them are from good mares or families. His best so far Whataretheodds is 15th on the 2yo's list. His top USA 2yo last season Abuckabett Hanonver $162k was also his fastest. IMO the jury is still out

Not so sure of Betting Line as he has Camtastic as the sire of his grand-dam. Camtastic was obviously a top class racehorse, but his siring record in the US and NZ was underwhelming.
Another bred like this is Betterthancheddar ( Bettors from a Camtstic mare) and he's yet to set the world on fire.

Both Betting Line and Betterthancheddar were from the Cassie Coleman stable.

Yes Noel, Betterthancheddar is no longer one of the featured stallions on the USTA's Stallion Showcase nor is he listed on HRA's Sires list and yet I think he has done the best of Bettors sons in the barn

I don't know about RH Katie. He had 73 (or 63?) of his 93 foals race in 2020 (his first crop) and yet he did not make the top 20 in this table

He was probably 21st as I did the maths using the info in this link and he averaged $7,938 per foal (note it is per foal not starter)

To this writer the Sale was an outstanding success with the top price of $200,000 for lot 139, a filly by the first season pacing sire Downbytheseaside. Called Elusive Beauty this filly was from the outstanding 100% producing mare Swinging Beauty 1:49.4 ($893,268) and is a half sister to Captain Barbossa 1:47.1 and Whichwaytothebeach 1:49.2. Odds On Racing LLC was the buyer.

This continues to be true with him winning the Red Mile on Sunday. BL is throwing useful horses but Abuckabett is the only standout so far

No doubt weight of numbers plays a big part but

Bettor’s Delight was the leading stakemoney sire in North America for the eighth time in the last 11 seasons, the last four on end. During the closing season his stock earned $21,618,449, more than $1.6 million ahead of Somebeachsomewhere in second position.

Next on the list was Somebeach’s son Captaintreacherous, followed by American Ideal, Sweet Lou, Art Major and Mach Three.

The Stewart stable do not have many NZ imports but 4yo mare Dannemora who made it 3/3 in Oz at Maryborough today, looks a likely type
