In case anyone has been on another planet and missed hearing about the increase in prizemoney at Menangle from January , have a look at this :

Week 1 - http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-programme.cfm?rm=ME060112&state=nsw&fromstate=nsw

Week 2 - http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-programme.cfm?rm=ME140112&state=nsw&fromstate=nsw

Week 3 - http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-programme.cfm?rm=ME210112&state=nsw&fromstate=nsw (http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-programme.cfm?rm=ME210112&state=nsw&fromstate=nsw)

Week 4 - http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-programme.cfm?rm=ME280112&state=nsw&fromstate=nsw

Wow!! No wonder the fields so far in December have been small , all waiting for the New Year!

Great stuff huh? Rex & the Crew should have their images cast in bronze for bringing this about. You know what jumped straight out at me there? A Mares M0-M1 over the Mile for $22,000. How good's that? Never in my lifetime did I think I'd see the day. I'm absolutely bloody thrilled. :D:D:D:D

How about the $22,000 for the TM0+ in week four. I did not think I would live to see the day a basic trotters handicap in Sydney offering that sort of prizemoney. Brilliant!!

OK , Victorian owners , how about sending some of your up and coming trotters and give a boost to the trotting ranks here. All welcome.

$22,000. These are some types of FFAs like Brian Hancock Cup? Races like the Summer M1/M2 Championship Final? Fill me in.
Kidding guys. It's going be so good isn't it.

G'day Aussie

No, these $22k and $24k races will be your run of the mill bread and butter metro races. Every week from January onwards; races like the Brian Hancock Cup, Simpson Sprint, Summer Championships etc jump to $40k. The 'C' front races held on the Saturday metro meetings jump from $8k to $12k. Wonderful time ahead, just got to have a horse good enough

Regards

Mark

I understand there will be a 40k FFA event programmed every month. Excellent.

It won't only be square gaiters coming. An invasion is imminent,to the benefit of the sport here.Racing will become ultra competetive and and then how soon do you think it will before the whinging starts about the invaders taking all of our money.
About a month is my guess.
