Now we've had a lot of top horses race each other in the past month how do they shape up?

Leap is standout #1
2-4 throw a blanket over

6-9 could really be in any order

I don't need to muck around with your list really
The top four pick themselves for winning two open company Gp1's
Honolua is a couple of years older and therefore had more opportunities But he has not raced for 7 months and this may have cost him being higher
Likewise 11 months off the scene has hampered Ladies rating
Spirit Of St Louis has won two Gp1's and I would put him in Mach Dan's place (who just misses out). He may already be in his twilight and a bit of a bridesmaid but he has some record
Encipher gets 10th on her own. On record Jeff is not there yet
Swayzee is also there because of one win only
Captain Ravishing has been ruined by injury and from 4 open age runs has only a Gp2 and an impressive placing
Leap To Fame only nudges out Wave because of his Eureka 2nd

1 Leap To Fame
2 Catch A Wave
3 Act Now
4 Honolua Bay
5 Spirit Of St Louis
6 RNR Doo
7 Captain Ravishing
8 Ladies In Red
9 Encipher
10 Swayzee

I am only really set on the top 4 and 5-10 is right now in a state of flux

Yeah I probably should have included Louis as one of my No10s.

Hey Brendan, what about the horse with 3 Gp1's ?

Act Now has 3x Gp1s as well. Thing is he has exceeded that in the last 12 months so doesnt need to rely on that for ID rankings.
Claiming a Caducues FFA as a Gp1 (HRV scheduling f up for one yr only) or a glorified Sydney FFA in middle of winter going 1.51 as a Gp1 win lol!

My bad, he has only won two Gp1's but he also has a 2nd in a Hunter Cup and yet we didn't even consider him

I can see why Swayzee was quite high up your list. I just watched that return race from a fortnight ago where he was only 1 second outside the Tk Rec.
What we have to see from Grimson is a horse that performs for longer than 12 months

It is only one race But not sure Captain Ravishing belongs in the Top 10 anymore

Yep. It was the long distance and his fitness may be an issue so definitely potential to get back in there but for now probably unfair to others to have them rated below him.

And the compliant media fell hook, line and sinker for the ruse Captain Chaos was being set for the NZ Cup.

Over 3,200 metres.

From a standing start. Oh, I forgot. He stepped away from the tapes well at the trials. In a 3-horse field, of course, and not against another 14 starting off the front in the big Cup.

The Victorian trots media are more gullible than their readers, if there are any readers left.

Having left Capt T out - pretty much a victim of injury, Honolua could probably go for now for the same reason, Swayzee may deserve 3, RNR could move up with a strong Inter performance

Bugger it Louis is below his best I'm putting Storm in

Yep Swayzee can be a big mover in the ID.

Don't be too hard on yourself for despite his hot and cold performances, I think he has won more Open Gp1's than anyone on the list

If Brendan hadn't taken his bat and ball and left the stadium, I think he would now be taking RNR Doo right out of his Top 10
First Up last night and driven conservatively (good to see I thought - although PP very critical) he just went like an good average horse
