If you are with APIA like I was - take a close look at your new bill
It is the Contents part that has skyrocketed
We have not lodged any claims but for virtually the same amount of cover our premium went from
$392 to $779
That is a 99% price increase
They tried to explain that it was due to the number claims Australia wide

Imagine if anything else went up 99%
If it continued to go up by 99% for another 4yrs my premium/bill would be over $12,000

Rightio with your house under threat you buckle and take some Contents insurance
Above you may have read how mine went from $392 to $779 and now almost a year later it is $1,289
So it went up another 65% this year
It is mind boggling what they are allowed to do
From $392 to $1,289 in 2yrs
Yep that is more than triple

This is where we need the government to look at price gouging and collusion
