The last day of 2011 couldn't have started any better for New Zealand's leading harness racing driver, Tony Herlihy. Herlihy arrived at Alexandra Park today (Saturday December 31) having been awarded a Member of the New Zealand Order Of Merit by the New Zealand Government for his services to harness racing. He follows in the footsteps of his legendary father-in-law Roy Purdon, who has an MBE.
