Being out of the game as an owner for a little while, was listening and wondering this.

With all the issues that are facing the states, what is the standard race win amounts now?

EG: Restricted, Country, Metro .. for each state.

I know that its less in QLD then in WA .. But not sure about TAS, SA etc ..

AND - do you think that this will make it easier or harder for those states to provide quality racing?

You also have the penalty free race's in NSW at $1500.
My belief is that if you have even classed field's you will still have quality racing regardless of the class of horse competing.

I'm very much in favour of the 3 tiered /prize money differentials /graded stakes...system, whatever you want to call it...as the better horses will tend to take their shots at the best available prizemoney & so on down the line.
It at least allows the owners and trainers the opportunity to best place their horses within the existing handicapping structure. Owners of the lesser lights...and let's face it, that's most of the horses going around, will get a reasonable chance to win a race or two & recoup at least some of their outlay.
