Why wasnt Raglan pre raced swab

Just noticed Raglan that tested positive to arsenic before miracle mile was the only horse in the main race at Gloucester park that wasnt pre raced swabbed.

Any reason? would it have been swabbed in lead up to race.

Should add i guess that was post race swabbed with all other placegetters down to 5th

The horse had to be swabbed and cleared before 8.30 that morning , so he was already swabbed , but saying that , all of the others should never had to race it as it should have stayed stood down . They seem to always move the posts when it comes to big names . Try doing the same out Dubbo way

Abiding by the rules would be a good start , rule 183 (a) .

Yes that's right the rule also say's the steward's may (enforce rule to the letter of the law ) not say will enforce the rule in it's entirety. Perhaps this is why people get confused why horse's are aloud to start after pos swabs.

Yea fair enough Greg, maybe it should be black OR white with no grey. I don't know either

The problem I have with Positive swabs is that 1. The horse did not needle/tube/whatever itself
2. The trainer must have no confidence in his/her training ability & need an edge
3. Must be able to sleep at nights knowing their cheats
But Maybe their catholic & go get forgiven
