if one of Luke's young blokes slaughtered a horse the way R Petroff did Vito Vito the other night.

There were only 2 iffy dangers in the race, it took care of one and failed to post the other. Nice to see the Vic stewards doing their job ... NOT !!

Team Driving by far the biggest problem in the sport right now. The drug issue, punters can't see it, they can however spot the obvious. Wakey Wakey hands off Snakey !!

and the problem is, if the stewards at the very least acknowledge it, it's the young bloke that cops it.

Robert you are reading too much into it. You must have gambled against SU or did you invest heavily on a 28 quinella?
Vito had a crack for the lead - NOT a longer crack than you generally see. Fast first Qs are to expected over the short course and the leader hopes for a little respite the second Q - Vito had nothing to do with the second fast Q (or the super fast 3rd)
The stable may have suggested have a go for the lead but cannot see that they should have been telling RP do not have a go for the lead. Vito had no form so maybe they may have been hoping he could get it and hand up to Smoken and with a bit of luck run a place for a change. Decorated Jasper was the danger and ran a cracker but do you really think that LJ was worried about SU not being able to handle that small field?

We can agree to disagree and I didn't gamble on the race. I was however having a quiet pint with a few mates during the race and it caught the attention of more than this one drunked. Vito Vito was given no chance, the lead wasn't there and it was more than a crack. If Smokin Up had drawn 2 would Vito of been driven with the same urgency ? I think not. Pretty embarrassing couple of minutes for the young bloke but a job well done I guess.

The best two horses in the race ran 1st and 2nd. They both broke the track record. Whats the problem?

I imagine the board would be pretty quiet as it has been cleansed of any questioning of the Luke McCarthy stable.

[VVV] Not quite William. Moreso it has been cleansed of most if not all of those namesless, faceless, anonymous types who would seek to make repeated scurrilous and unfounded allegations about any Trainer...knowing full well they are unlikely to be called to answer for them as they have done so from the relative safety of a series of false and at times even stolen names/identities/e-mail addresses. The actions of such people are not exactly those of persons who could be reasonably termed as having displayed the courage of their convictions.

I still think that it was an amazing race. And that we do have a wonderous crop of mature racehorses coming thru that will take up the challange for the next few years for the group one features.

As for tteam driving - hard to say. I say no, that seems on form each of the horses seems to have run to play or what you have thought them to attempt. Buts thats my thinking.

As for the time - i thought that was a mistake
