The death of well-known and respected harness racing horseman Bryce Buchanan occurred last week following on from a short illness. In his 69th year, Buchanan is the father of Glenys and father-in-law to Canterbury horseman Terry Chmiel. Formerly from Southland Bryce Buchanan established himself in Canterbury several years ago, setting up a property in Leeston and training partnership with his daughter Glenys.
