Thought it deserved its own thread now the draw is out.
1) Mr Feelgood
2) Lombo Navigator
3) Raglan
4) Crombie
5) Mysta Magical Mach
6) Smoken Up
7) Im The Mightyquinn,
8) Can Return Fire
(9 Auckland Reactor.
Emergencies Cromac Johnny (1) and Daaher VC (2).
They would have to forward on Feelgood after last week and I think he will get it easy enough.
Im Themighyquinn wins.
Auckland Reactor can't win from there.
Crombie to go back, as will MMM and CRF. Lombo Navigator should try and hop on to Feelgoods back and could be a sneaky place chance - not that I will be backing him.
Raglan is the interesting one, do they go forward. I can see him heading up the death or getting the 1-1 depending on if Feelgood hands up to Smoken Up which after last week I dont think he should.
ITMQ to beat Feelgood and Smoken Up. I'll stick with Crombie for fourth - the same first four as I said in the First4 thread IIRC. Although likely to change my mind in 5minutes let alone next Friday.
Go Quinny!!!!!!!

Smoken Up will lead and win for mine. ITMQ running on 2nd, AR 3rd, Feelgood 4th.
Draw makes it an interesting race and hopefully and strong betting race. Should be value about Auckland Reactor and people will jump back on the Feelgood bandwagon after his win and the draw.

Just realised Auckland Reactor could make look like a goose that I've said he can't win and I've left him out of top 4. I think he can definitely place though.

You guys are dreaming if you think Smoken Up is crossing Mr Feelgood. If it were Albion Park there might be minimal thought given to handing up but not around Gloucester Park. Mr Feelgood was $7 before the draw, I can't believe they're offering $5.50 after it. He'll start at least 2 points shorter than that if not a half point more. Smoken Up's best chance is a controlled drive outside the Mr Feelgood. Sparks fly when the Hall Jr sets sail.
Lombo Navigator is a terrific place chance from behind the leader. He's a quality horse. 100-1 is a joke.

If Smoken Up crosses Mr Feelgood, then this post is going straight to the pool room!

Raglan will lead before handing up to Trigger putting Feelgood 3 back.
ITMQ will get to the 1:1 trailed by AR.
Still confident of my first 4 selections

Reserves take the gate position of the scratched horse. That's why they're so short.

I love Smoken Up as a horse. he's just an awesome warrior who gives you everything whenever he goes out to race. However, he is clearly not at his best on the tighter GP circuit.
Quinny is in the zone, on his home turf and in a small field, his unbelievable speed will be impossible to hold out IMO

IMO the draw has opened up the final because tactics will now be paramount,as they were always likely to be.If it gets to be a sit and sprint then ITMQ wins but that is the question, will it be s & s?
My bet?no it won't be.S U will make sure that no one dies wondering whoever leads and whoever crosses who.I can see a replay of last year where S U puts the pressure on early and takes the edge off of ITMQ's sprint.Same as BAF did to Monkey King.
S U being a year older and the track layout probably works against him winning, but it will make the last lap interesting.
Pre post bookies are betting 136%.113% the top four so you need to get the winner. As always.

Can't really see anything leading all the way here. trigger may get to lead most of the way but get gunned down late.

Mr Feelgood was disappointing his first 3 starts in WA. He was luckless the first two (WA and Fremantle Cup) and his first heat run for 4th outside a slow pace was probably his worst run in Australia.
Big improvement on night two and even better on night three. He's got better as the series has gone on. Kudos to John McCarthy.
I don't know how much racing you guys watch from Gloucester Park but Mr Feelgood leads for sure from the inside and no way will they take a sit. An incredible horse. Jug winner, comes to Australia via New Zealand and wins a Hunter Cup, Interdominion etc etc etc and still doing it @ 9yo. Amazing. $5.50 is a gift.

I'm also sticking Raglan into my Tri's. I was on him in the Vic Cup when he was a great 3rd from three back the fence. I think that's where he'll be on Friday. At his best when driven cold.

No doubt an amazing horse but has sometimes been a touch disapointing at the top level when leading.I recall a Ballarat Cup and a Newcastle mile. Can't imagine that he'll be the one to "take on" SU.

Most of Mr Feelgood's Perth runs have had him in the death seat or moving around the field to face the breeze, the first time he gets a good run back in the field he bolts in. To give up the chance to lead from one could be very regrettable. He will have no opposition from the next four for the front and if he hands up to Smoken Up he may not get out. Far better for MF to control the tempo than SU dictating terms. His brilliant time and run away win last Friday suggests to me he would have the advantage against SU in the breeze. If you can lead you don't give away the 1 gate at G.P.especially when your opposition draws 6.

Right on mate. If they can have him back to near the horse he was in the Vic Cup they don't beat him IMO. He was awesome that night from the breeze.
I wrote the horse off after night one. The way he's progressed through the series. It could be one of the great training performances by John McCarthy. Straight to the front and don't look back.

Just placed my bets $2.25 for ITMQ with a saver on Feelgood @$6. Worked out a nice ratio, for every $5 on ITMQ I had to have $1 on Feelgood for my saver.
I can't take credit for this but its the Quinnterdominion!

MFG will lead there is no way he willhand up to SU.After last weeks win he is peaking at the right time, he will do a Jofess and lead throughout with it being a very close finish with 4 across the track. yee hah. The pole makes it hard for anything to cross.
I will be backing him with Lombo Navigator to cause an upset as often happens at Gloucester Park. Hopefully Grant Williams with Chromac has learnt his lessons and not to play it safe as he should be competitive for next years series.

With Anthony jumping off Raglan for Auckland Reactor and Darren Hancock being booked for Raglan, what do the Raglan supporters reckon? Not losing any experience with Darren on board.

My top 4 have not changed. It won't be hard to stay up till midnight on Friday, and the footys back. Can life get better than this? You bet, because I'm backing Harveys horse to knock over the big guns on Saturday night. Hope she goes good for Harvey!
Smoken Up
Mr Feelgood

Auckland Reactor
Should be a good result for me because I don't think anyone else will box that four! Keep it quiet...

We're on the same page. I kicked off a thread about a month before the series asking if anyone was supporting any of the longer shots and Lombo Navigator was mine. I limped in from 151 to 126 before the series and I've stepped in again at the 100's a couple of times again this week. Tatts still has him 100 & 16. It's incredible value for such a nice horse "hopefully" receiving a perfect trip behind a great horse. Matthew White is an aggressive driver but he needs to find the back of Mr Feelgood ASAP. Hancock and Raglan will be looking for three back the fence right from the get go so he needs to be aware of that.
