G'day all,

Kind of surprised that nothing much appears to have been said anywhere in the Industry media/wesbites about La Machance's 1:56.7 effort for the 2400m in her heat of The NSW Oaks last weekend. As a 3yo filly she has actually broken the All Age record of Regal Dash who paced 1:57.4 for the 2415m at Bendigo back on March 11th, 2006 as well as bettering by nearly 3 seconds the previous 3yo record of 1:59.5 set by Sparks A Flyin back in 2001 & the overall Mares record of 1:58.6 which was set by Karamea Duplicity way back in 1985.

Good point, but I suppose that is expected from Menangle......first time over the journey etc. let's see what time they run in the final..........you mentioned Karamea Duplicity who was trained by Louis Cini, whose son Charlie Cini just happens to be driving at Menangle on Saturday night!...........1:58.6 back in 1985.....now that is a great run......that would be 1:54 around Menangle don't you think??
