Harrington Raceway track record holder Allmar Surprise ($3.40, Victor Kirby) returned Wednesday (May 2) with a sharp 1:56.2 win in the featured $16,000 Junior Open Trot. The 7-year-old Angus Hall mare and trainer/driver Kirby wasted little time making the lead in an opening quarter of 28.2. She then scooted to the half mile in 58 seconds and three-quarters in 1:27.1 while Sea Raven mounted her attack first-over.
