just watched Im Victorious go around at Menangle in the 7th.

with also Restrepo and Christian Me running times on the weekend

think it will require a cracking time to win this year.

This is a champion crop of 4 year olds who will be tommorows stars, its definetly going to be one exciting race. I think Smolda will be hard to beat.

Although not really pressured yesterday I'm Victorious looked very sharp. Beautiful mover in full flight.
Good idea to give Prentice a look at the track before he drives in the big one.

In saying that, I have Smolda, Restrepo and Christen Me ahead of him.

Will be a quality race.

Christen Me huge in the Hondo Grattan 3 wide first 800 coming from 7-8 lengths from leaders, got to death at 800 in 56.4, last 800 55.2 MR 1:51.6....Excitisinthecity great last 400.
Restrepo great at Melton over 1720 in 1:52.4 and wasn't 100% let down while running last 400 in 26.2. Clever drive by Gavin Lang Mark Purdon unlucky got out a bit late but actually made up some ground in the 26.2!!!
Barrier 10 will have Smolda pushing it up hill will take mammoth effort to get past Christen Me and RESTREPO who have drawn 4 and 5. Will b a great spectacle.

Best race on the card. Hard to tip against Christen Me given the draw & it will be interesting to see how hard they burn off the arm?? Smolda going to do it tough from the draw and if he gets a cart into it Jason Rulz might roll the lot of them. Said it all along & still believe they will break 1.50

I dunno how, but I missed Christen Me in the Hondo Grattan.

A handful of replays later, IMO, he's the best horse to cross since Christian Cullen.

I've taken $3.20 and I almost feel guilty about it : )

Christen Me is an out and out freak, his trial today even made me like him more, throw him in the ID final and he wouldnt be out of place I feel. Some really really nice horses here but I cant see him gettin beaten. Best of the day for me.

Not a good drive by Justin Prentice on I'm Victorious I thought, but the horse did go a little rough at the start so maybe that was the reason. Certainly wouldn't have beaten the winner but he was right amongst the main bunch and unable to obtain a clear run.

Christen me and Smolda they are definetly the real deal. Ive liked smolda from the first time i saw him race in the derby last year i can see him being a real Grand Circuit star.

Maybe its a bit premature but i think in 12 months he will be in the top 5 horses in Australasia.

Have put this question under the Chariots thread because Christen Me won it so brilliantly. Maybe you can help here Teecee but did Dexter get any sort of penalty for crossing Fly Like An Eagle early the other day which caused him to puncture a tyre and have to be retired from the event, costing him and every punter that supported him any chance of winning?
