One of Southland's true harness racing icons, Jim Holland, passed away last week aged 94. Holland's biggest achievements in the sport include breeding and owning smart fillies Some Legacy, Shania Patron and It's Ella, as well as being the winner of the 2000 Southland Harness Racing Personality of the Year Award.
