How do you Get Yer Ya Yas Out

How does NZ's Hot Spot now Yayas Hot Spot go from a couple of 8th placings to 6wks later the start of a picket fence which includes a victory over Bling It On? I know the NZ starts were open age but did our NZ cousins make a big mistake?

I think it is in the name. Between buying him from NZ and having him registered in Australia, my grandmother passed away. Grandma, in Greek, is Ya Ya, hence he was registered here with the name Yayas Hot Spot. Now he has angel wings helping him get around the track.

Sorry to hear of your grandma's passing Adam but may her wings continue to be a blessing to you. On another NZ forum, it was suggested that he was a cheap pick up because of an ugly leg - any truth in that?

Thanks for the comment Kevin.
He has a funny looking knee, but scan revealed it was all okay.
We certainly weren't expecting to be getting anything like this though - in any respect, the experience of winning the races he has is priceless. I have certainly bought a more expensive horse that has not provided anywhere near this thrill.
