The new grand stand at Tabcorp Park Menangle was named last night after the retiring NSWHRC chairman Rex Horne.
Rex Horne who is universally recognised as the driving force behind the
re-development of the track precinct at Menangle Park was unaware of the recognition for his contribution to the Club before the event.
In a moving response to the 350 guests at the official opening who offered Horne a standing ovation he stated he was humbled by the gesture from the Club Directors and management.
The three level multi-function grand stand which was built within the overall cost of $43 million for the site will be open to the public tomorrow (Sunday).
