Yeah what a bugger!
Was clearly the best trotter going around in the last few years.
Maybe we see his up and coming replacement in the next year or two resuming at Cranbourne Cup night? But not in the Bill Collins Trotters Mile, in the last race.

and what an awesome race is the Mile, looks like a great season of trotting coming up if this is the entree!

Yeah for sure.
Being of a similar physique and way of going they will need to be careful he does also follow to the retirement paddock early having started out much earlier.

The whisper is that Blitz's brother by Ponder trots pretty good as well. The open race is a cracker, quite like the look of Habibti!!

I must say this would be her biggest test yet.
She is drawn to follow out Vulcan who begins well but would think that Elegant Image should lead from the pole.
Mister Zion and Amore Stride drawn 3 and 4 are slow beginners from the moving start so they wont be going far and then David Aiken i believe has already said he will be going forward on MHE, so Habibti will have some very good stock in front of her to pass over the short mile trip.
Elegant Image has a 1:57 mile to his credit and Cold Sister who will be on his back can do the same, so coming from the back will be very difficult.
All looks great for a great race

It will be tough for Habiti as you say Ash, usually takes a little while to step up to open company. It's a good strong race
