They are saying these are the shoes he wore setting the Australasian Rec on 23/11/13 but
1.49.9 never bettered his 1.48.5 Record he set 30/4/11

What gives?

I think they left off " 11 year old" Australasian record, I think actually it is a World Record for an 11 yo

The ebay description was revised in the last hour - I am pretty sure that it said Australasian Record before NOW it just says Record (any time can be referred to as a record)

I've got one shoe that Our Sir Vancelot wore in an Inter victory. Won it in a trotguide colouring in competition when I was about 7. Not sure Id pay for it or expect anyone to pay for it, but its a very cherished possession.

I don't like to brag but I've got a poster of Shakamaker signed by John Justice on my wall. It cost me nothing and I could still get at least that for it today !
