Just noticed Lenny is now trained by David Aiken. Anyone know why the change of stables?

Looked up trial results for Lenny. See Melton trials 29/4.

Illawong Magic monte trialled by itself. Results say 2.03.1 last mile, last half 65.95. Either this things bolted on Amy Tubbs the first 800m or the times are wrong?

Also from Melton trials 29/4, Nathan Jack does not get the credit he deserves as a driver. Drove both Musical Delight and Artuque in same trial! Kate Gath, Greg Sugars same thing trial 8. Surely the person entering the trial results has to click?

Lenny won 2 previous trials at Shepparton as well, 3/4 & 17/4. The change in stable might have had something to do with his recovery from the injury. Video's are available on The Shepparton Harness Racing site.

Wow, Lenny proves last week definitely is Lenny Mark 2.
And thats a whole new horse, made a quick short dash from 1 out 2 back to death, then sat quietly with as Dan Mielicki said, "Alford is swinging on it" at the 400, then Chris pulled him out and its seeya later, I'm outta here!
Wins by 10.7m too easy.
Victoria has a new competitor for the Grand Circuit.

Lenny's come back bigger and better than ever, Hats off to David Aiken for the wonderful job getting him back to the track after a near career ending injury.

The decision to change stables with Lenny was a difficult one as JJ had done a terrific job.
After the rehab performed at sheron park predominately by pat Ryan it was decided to send Lenny to David Aiken to join numerous other horses we have at such a strong and in form stable.
After lennies return to the track we could not be happier.

On face value it certainly looks a ruthless decision

The horse is certainly flying but as said above he did win the NSW Derby as a 3 year old. As for feeling sorry for JJ well I don't agree. Trainers sack slow horses (or horses that are too slow for them) all the time. I am sure the ratio would be over 100-1 the number of good horses changing hands. Its the owners perogative as they are paying the bills.

I don't see the correlation Jack. How does a trainer sacking slow horses equate to an owner sacking a Derby winning trainer. No one is disputing that the owners pay the bills and can do anything they like

Making the point Kevin that loyalty goes both ways. The trainer says I don't want you to waste any more money. The truth his they don't want a team of slow horses.

Are you serious? I dont know any owner who enjoys paying up for a slow horse Jack.

Funnily enough plenty of these horses improve when they change stables.

??? Because there's so many harness racing trainers out there with a queue of people wanting a horse trained? If trainer says that to you only 1 possibility? They are being honest.
