In 2009 I was dumbfounded by his appointment and relevant qualifications. How wrong I was to doubt. From what I can see he has done a great job. A big loss for HRNSW. Who steps in now?

Sam has done an extremely good job through a truely brutal period, his passion for the game is second to none and in my humble opinion, that was what set him apart from others who have performed the role, his ability to empathise across all spectrums of the game has not been equalled in recent memory.
Thanks Sam,
you have done a truly great job.

Word around the traps is Sam will add another BIG SCALP before his departure. A leading trainer who can improve horses in a matter of weeks is not sleeping well at the moment.
At the moment he is still enjoying his days in the sun.
Word is an Indian product.
Is that the Queensland sun??
