Members wouldn't have approved the sale of the club to a property developer but that's exactly what they're getting with the NSW Harness Racing Club. I suspect they've already got a deal in place with, let's see, Mirvac ? : )

I frequent the Kirribilli Club a few times a month. It's a great spot and 15.5 Million is a steal. The locals are in for a shock.

You'd be surprised at how many investment (Hedge) funds make a motza by investing in 'distressed assets' .
Any business today that doesn't have a diversified asset base is, unless they are a monolith like 'BHPBILLITON' or "XSTRATA' will not survive in the new economy of this millenium.

I can park there for a few dollars for the day. That's why I'm a member first and foremost which probably explains why out of a member base of 14000 only 116 turned up to an extraordinary meeting to sell the joint for peanuts.
