Geez this sentence handed down here makes the TALK TO HAND INQUIRY no more than a tap on the wrist with a feather duster.

Not wrong David
On the penalties handed to Thomas you would expect Glen Douglas to get 4yrs.
What did he get, < 1yr wasn't it?

Glenn Douglas only got 6 months. The Anderson/Douglas case was totally mishandled by HRV. Complete stuff up.

Steve, I think the question is whether its mishandling was convenient?!

You are not the first person to suggest that, others have asked the same question.

Isn't this disgusting. No wonder people don't come to the trots and no wonder you don't read about the trots in newspapers.
Shameful behavior.

You're not wrong Toni and the saddest thing of all is that the one's that were burying their horse with asbestos only got 6mths
They should not be welcomed back - leading trainer or not
Maybe we should have T shirts printed up with this message for his return

Spot on Kev, any fair minded person is well within their rights to question what type of ability got some people to the top half of the trainers' board. One can only hope that the powers that be in each state thinks long and hard as to:

Are people who have been found guilty of such serious offences entitled to have a licence to participate in harness racing?

It's not hard to work out why the industry is in decline. Changing the racing season or the handicapping system is not going to do enough. While ever the public see the way the participants are treating this wonderful industry no one is going to invest their hard earned money in harness racing, and who could blame them.
