Nice looking country cup tonight. Can Christen Me be beaten. Will maximan lead. What are your thoughts?

I expect CM to be able to hold up and win comfortably

Maximan should cross CM, then CM to pop out and go to the lead(if he's not blocked). Should be a great nights racing!

Hi Dean, I'm going for Terror To Love in a slight upset, Real impressed with his improved effort last week in the MM even though the bugger cost me the first 4, The extra distance is right up his alley.

if Maximan does happen to cross, there is no way he would be handing up to anyone

That's the way I see it as well Harvey, He'll definitley be rolling along and if Christen Me has a few traffic problems I think that TTL can finish over the top, Young Dexter will be trying to put some space between his horse and TTL.

Somewhat surprised to see only a 28min (minus the length of R6) lead into the Cup
Don't expect much build up on Sky either with a dog race scheduled for 2min before

Why don't they advertise these big races and Superstars more.. The doggies get way more publicity!

I only get The Age but would hope The Sun has some decent coverage today - anyone know?
Any locals tell us what sort of coverage there is in their local paper?
I have started buying the Stawell Times every week (only reason I didn't more regularly in the past was due to not remembering to go to the newsagency on Tu & Fri)
In the lead up to last week's Stawell meeting I was impressed to see there was a whole page in the Sports section for the following day's meeting

A stat for you Kev. 94 acceptors at the meeting and 13 of them trained in the Cranbourne/Yarra Valley/Gippsland region.

No problems in this industry they say?

Gee, Yarra Valley is even a bit of a stretch really

If we take out Yarra Valley (Croydon) that makes 12

So good to see TTL bring his absolute best and with a winnable trip to Aust.

Yep right on Breno, was a shame for a horse as good as him to not previously have the respect he deserved in Australia.
Great win tonite, the real TTL raced in Australia tonite, well done.

CM held the lead very easily, even though I thought MM would explode out. What a run by TTL! Geez, he and CM trounced a pretty decent field! What happened to BOB? Hope he's all good! TTL and CM are going to be awfully hard to beat in the coming features, along with Beautide, Garuanteed and possibly Philadelphia Man. Fills in the void with a little with not seeing Mighty Trigger race.

Great win by Terror to Love in a ding dong battle right down to the line, Christen Me has lost no admirers with his effort, The rest of the Victorian Carnival is going to be fantastic if tonight's race is anything to go by. Congrats to TTL's connections and a great drive by Ricky May.

Too strong this time TTL. Good win. I expected maximan to give a little more off the gates, but that didn't happen. CM had it fairly easy and a little disappointing with the run he had. Good crowd out at Cranbourne considering a cold windy night. BOB all ok. No injuries

You will not have any trouble guessing where all the winners came from

Tough win by Terror.

Next weeks Ballarat cup promises to be a ripper.
