In the first our Nathan did not have the run come early enough and was finishing better than anything for a close 4th beaten 1.8m
The winner Grinning Dollar (whom NJC beat in the heats) was a super tough effort. I do not think she is the sort of horse that would ever want Nathan's No Better Time to have the cold sit on her but just maybe compared to her other recent runs - Grinning $ may have been below her best in the Stawell heat (we are talking mares)

Majestic Grace seems to have turned the corner from horse with a lot of ability but unreliable, to wow, and seemingly so far reliable.
Track record MR 1:57.3 hard held!

Was on course. Crowd well down according to the club. They are really occupying a December slot to enable the Vic Cup to go back to January. The crowd were quite vocal when Adam Hamilton and Andrew Bensley tried to explain the sulky situation.

Dan Milecki just commented before race 9
"The meeting will be remembered for the wrong reasons. Following on from a fantastic Cranbourne Cup....tonight...tragic.

Me and Luke went too Kyle. Looking forward to the big race as were many others on track. There is NO EXCUSE for what was done. Don't care who is right and who is wrong there is just NO EXCUSE for that sort of crap on one of the biggest nights on the calendar. All the recent positives eg. Cranbourne Cup) and all the hard work by the club are wiped out in an instant by those ridiculous going on's. Most in crowd were stunned at the stupidity of it all. Way, way beyond stupidity. I still can't believe it was allowed to happen. Set the 'industry' back years.

It demonstrates a dreadful breakdown between stewards and participants for which the stewards and their superiors must first and foremost be responsible for
