Six of the top class pacers missed a race because of the Ballarat issues.
If they are being aimed at the Hunter or Victoria Cups via the Bendigo Cup (mobile) or the Shepparton Cup ( stand) where do they ( and others) race next ? Only I'm Corzin Terror is going to Tassie.
Nothing on the HRA calendar stands out. Suggestions?

Do you think the likes of Guaranteed and Restrepo would get around the half mile Stawell track?

The Horsham Cup is worth $60,000 , 10 K more than either Bendigo or Shep..so they might get the major players!

Depends whether they can wear their own so called carts or not! Apparently they can't race without them!

I wonder what they used before the Alien was released?

Would be good to see the C7 or Better race now worth $16,505 at Ballarat on Boxing Day draw a few nice horses following the cup meet... Whispers around that some top-liners might turn out to have a run at Bray.

Cran has mentioned that Christen Me just might be heading to Shepparton for the Cup.

Looks like Philadelpia Man is the only one of the "sulky scratchings" to race at the Ballarat Boxing Day night meeting.

This is a good idea......and hopefully will enhance the already attractive racing that is planned:

It Will be Smoken on Bendigo Cup Night

Legendary pacer Smoken Up will lead the starters onto the Lord's Raceway track on January 17th, for the sixty first running of the Bendigo Pacing Cup. In addition one of the junior concession drivers contesting the Central Victorian Concession Drivers Championship run at Central Victorian tracks will be selected to drive the $3.6 million dollar winning champion.

Luke McCarthy says that For a Reason is headed for Horsham this coming Sunday , then the Petstock Bendigo Pacing Cup 6 days later on Jan 17. Wonder where Guaranteed will go after the SA Cup on Saturday night.

Christen Me and Beautide are drawn beside each other on the front row for the $55,000 Bendigo Pacing Cup on Saturday night.
Metro MIke is the sole Emma Stewart entry, and is drawn alongside CM and BT,
David Aitken has four of the ten contestants !
Any markets yet? ( We need the rain to stop as the track was damaged by the 90m downpour late on Friday :( Repairs are underway.)

No chance! Christen Me will win with his head on his chest & plugs in......I really cannot remember a better $1.35 proposition.

I should have said, Very,Very,Very Slim chance Brent. Yes $1.35 is great if you like skinny odds, Really disappointed about the Beautide scratching.

I hear ya Rich & as a rule I don't usually go lower than 4/5 but we have 6 (think I counted right) out and out superstars on our hands at the moment and the rest are some 20 metres behind. $1.35 is free money to boost your MULTIS this weekend peoples.

Just second guessed myself.....FAR might be 10 metres behind then another 10 back to the rest.

Amazing to think that Safari's Tk Rec and winning rate of 1.55.6 in the Cup in 2007 is 2.1 secs faster than Christen Me went and it was to be Safari's career best MR - over the long distance of 2650m. Running time over a distance was certainly his go.
I know Christen Me could have gone considerably faster but there has been considerable improvements in sulkies and the track in 7yrs as well

And how about the Bee the year before, 1.55.8 http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#BNC10030701 (http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-results.cfm?mc=BN100307&ms=vic&fromstate=vic#BNC10030701) one of my all time favourite track side races.

They were great clashes between the two of them Wayne. The following year (both were actually in the same calendar year) Safari knew he had to put a bigger space between him and the Bee
