Mister Douglas is another that has given his owners a lot of thrills over his long career, He's never been a world beater but has finished in the prizemoney 180 times including 33 wins and has more than payed his own way.

The moment he won (and I backed the second horse!) I started writing this article, Kev, and was finished about quarter to 1 in the morning. Stories like this are what got me into the trots in the first place.

Trainer Joanne was absolutely stoked, and rightly so. What a wonderful racehorse. She deserves enormous credit for how she's looked after him and kept him racing. Sound as a bell.
