Come on - let's stick our necks out
You can make a case for pretty much everyone of them so nobody's pick/bet can be ridiculed
I fancy whichever of the Me's is close enough at the 400 (wish I knew that)
but I am going to offer up
Franco Ledger as my each way bet

As a west coaster I'd have David Hercules each way. His run in the pacing cup I think was a beauty, headed and then came again to run 2nd. It will be interesting to see how he stacks up against the "big guns" in the east

Terror to Love and if he wins I'll take the boss up on that, One of those giant Lobsters/ Crayfish at NZ Cup time next year.
First 4 box
TTL
Christen Me
David Hercules
Guaranteed
Adore Me is the Smokey, Shocking draw but she is all class and I'll have to put her in for peace of mind.
Good Luck Folks!!

1) Lay Philadelphia Man hard.
2) Lay Lenny as well.
3) Adore Me and TTL to win.
4) For interest sake Tris/F4 around Beau, TTL, Christen Me, Adore Me, Guaranteed. Worried about Restrepo but can't have them all.
Had already got $9 Christen Me pre draw as well.
Cheering for a Kiwi victory me!
Franco Ledger not good enough. For A Reason not going well enough. ICT will do better than his quote suggests. David Hercules get 3 pegs at best and get held up wouldn't touch him.

I'm all in on Beau. As Bob mentioned the other day, he's a flip of the coin chance if we know he's fit. I'm happy to pay to find out @ $3.50. I liken this race to last years inter qualifier where Restrepo led and got nutted on the post in 1:53.2. That night the peg horses were the only mathematical winning chances as the lead time was moderate at 44.3. I just don't see any kamikaze speed early (like Gold Ace + Smoken Up in Vic cup last year lead time 43) in this race and reckon if Ratray gets his 44+ lead time, it's times & margins please judge. For those who have a Sportsbet acc u can get your money back (up to $100) on your 1st win bet if it finishes 2nd or 3rd.
Also had 1 unit on the sandgroper to run a drum @ $10.50

Interesting that that bloke says can't see Franco Ledger getting off the arm and Brent is content Beau will get an easy lead time. I'm not so sure.
We seen Franco Ledger lead at Adelaide and yes he did hook on and yes he did go better with the cold sit at Shep, but that Shep drive wasn't by design. His best chance is knowing they won't push all out with Lenny and getting leaders back on Beau. People might say it's just nice to be in a big race but they won't be content with that. You're in it to win it and his best shot is trying for that early lead I reckon.

Im not going to try pick the winner, but Franco Ledger is absolutely no chance to cross Lenny. In fact, I dont think they will even be trying

I was going to tip Guaranteed until Luke did! He could get Phar Lap beat!
Lenny and Beautide not much recent racing but scored the good draws.
Last year Lenny had wood on Guaranteed. Also had habit running up track under pressure. If Beautide cross him and hold front will he go up sprint lane? If Lenny holds the front will Beautide press on? And if not Philadelphia Man will surely have a crack. If not David Hercules will get a perfect run. So many variables.
Beautides a superstar. If he can win first up after setbacks will be an extraordinary training feat.
Will be a great race.
Swap me tips around due to Lukes. For A Reason, Guaranteed, Christen Me.

As I am reliably informed by those who should know the mare is noticeably better than she was 2nd Tues November last so she will do me to top off her equine nephew.

I would have to agree with Adore Me to win and the first Oz horse home will be Guaranteed
50-1 FAR is crazy odds, the defending champ and by no means disappointing this campaign, one of the best big race drivers on, Im on EW bigtime..

Yep, nice call Breno re CM.....your shout! How about that gatespeed, wow!! Race was all over after the pedestrian pace early. The mare was GIGANTIC!!
And can we get a little love from the Lenny knockers?? he went pretty nice (and at $4.40 the drum!!) with the gun run of course.

TC does not need to dust off the good china as nobody nominated Cme as their bet even though a few fancied him.
After he led so easily the race became a fizzer - bring on the distance races

Well done to Christen Me! LTS got close at the end but not close enough! Can't wait to see him in the next few years! Beautide was a total flop, regardless of the quick last quarter. How was he favourite in this field I have no idea, especially since his lack of race fitness.. CM seems to be the best in Australasia ATM.

Christen Me started clear fav in the end Ev
& wasn't that a major plonk! $8 after the draw with TAB, lots & lots of $6-$7 with all the other corps mid week, all the way in to start $4.20 on Betfair.......then straight into $1.80 after they'd gone 300m.

I didn't even know Kev, as I only looked at the replay. I was more meaning after the barrier draw was released.

Absolutely wrapped with Lenny 2nd up............ Think it may be a blessing in disguise missing the hunter cup next week heading into inter Dom heats. 2 runs in 2 weeks coming of a long break is plenty enough. Really proud the horse did the talking to silence any doubters of him taking his spot in the field last night. Exciting times. Ps he has pulled up really well.

Congrats Martin. I do not think many doubted his ability esp us Vics - I just think some thought Avon's record made him unlucky not to get a start

Thanks Kev as owners we definitely wear our hearts on our sleeves !! A consequence of the extraordinary depth of horses vying for spots in these classic races with limited spots available is people will miss out. It sure makes it tough I would hate to be making the calls on who's in and out your really on a hiding to nothing!
