I'm sure that there are many who served in WW1 who can be listed.
Let's see how many can be remembered:
George Daniel Bendigo
Light Horse
Gassed and wounded at Gallipoli
Returned to resume a career as a school teacher, trained over 100 trotting and pacing winners including a Ballarat Cup, and both the 1928 and 1929 Richmond Thousands.
Went on to train gallopers including Sailor's Guide winner in the US of the Washington Million.
