People have been listing the various racetracks they have visited - either on a raceday or just when passing by.


Perhaps our forum participants can share where they have been to the races - of any code. Remember you must have stood on the course, not just flown over it or driven past the gate!


I'll kick it off with tracks I have been to - plus some of the "former" sites where they once went around. I think I have covered them all but have probably forgotten some!

Trained a horse at Hawkesbury with my dad in the eighties,i remember Peter Tritton training there some days and D J Heath was regular, it was Thursday night meetings I remember, you couldn't see the back straight for fog!!! Had a few drives at Richmond on the grass,dirt and gravel patches

Thanks Kyle that clarifies things for me and explains why I do not remember seeing daylight, starlight, the lit track or anything - the lack of memory, I am putting that down to it being 40yrs ago (not alcohol)

There was an underground bar area on course that actually caught fire during a race meet one night in 1991. It never reopened before they pulled the whole place down once racing stopped there in 1996.
