He broke Blacks A Fake's 2300m record there tonight (which is a shade slower than the 2400m record!)

"Former Kiwi mare Arms Of An Angel drew a gasp from the crowd and a cheer from connections when the four-year-old mare drew the coveted No 1 gate for tomorrow week's $750,000 Group One.
That should almost guarantee this will be the fastest Miracle Mile in history as her driver Lauren Panella looks likely to lower the handlebars and make her rivals chase her all the way."

Why would she do that ?

If Beautide is parked and that's the consensus, it's in Rattray's best interest, with Lenny and Faith sitting on him, to let Lauren do as she pleases. The mare ran a sub 26 Final Q last week 6 & 7 wide, she's going to be very hard, if not impossible to get past running sub 26 on the pegs ?

Lauren just needs to drown out the noise. She's in it to win it not put on a show.

They'll get a crowd there this week, without the ID it's the only race day of the year they'll get one. Chariots night a couple of weeks ago was a horrendous turnout.

Yeah I don't understand the 2 week build up. It's the Miracle Mile not the Super Bowl. Smolda should of been invited. Len Smith winner in 50 & change, Ballarat, Hunter Cup on the way here. Did connections not want an invite or the Peanuts in charge didn't think was sexy enough for one ?

Arms of an Angel reminds me of shades of Manaville.Has she got the "ringcraft"to mix it with hardened old Group 1 horses having come from a c1 to the MM in 8 starts?

Yep and stole his sister's track record

This story does not make sense to me

"The club has moved their feature race back a week"

It will be run on Feb 25 and last year it was run on Feb 28 so that is not moving it back
