There are tens of thousands in the region this weekend (Stawell Gift etc etc)
There should be signs for tonight's meet at nearby Ararat everywhere - Stawell (caravan park), Halls Gap (Main St) but I have not seen a single on :(

And within here lies the problem with harness racing. No self promotion, fund a few costly adverts on television. Everyone thinks marketing of the product is attended too. It always appears like a tired product being marketed by tired people. Where is all the cross promotion with all the other events being run locally. It is not that hard. Each event must be cross promoted to draw the crowds to the next.

Quite amazing for young local trainer Leroy O'Brien to win both races. Leroy appears to only have 35 wins to his name but that is because it does not include his stats in partnership with his dad
