Good Luck Mildura - TAB's/Sports Bars lift your game

Had dinner tonight at the large sports bar at Barwon Heads - maybe it is a sign of the times but no fields much less a form guide were up for Mildura tonight. Nothing at all was up except the afternoon's races which had been run and won hours earlier. Being school holidays time and a beautiful 30 degree day, there were a few patrons around too

It was interesting to read that the turnover by the Bookies more than doubled at Mildura.
Does anyone know how many bookies there were this year compared to last year?
With the popularity of fixed odds betting nowadays - could we see a ressurection of on-course bookies (at meetings that can pull a crowd)
