Stand start races for pacers

Just wondering if anyone is aware on what the story is with standing start races for pacers?


Are these getting phased out?


I know the country cups races last year were mostly standing start but I remember hearing somewhere that stand starts were on the way out for pacers.


Does anyone know anything on this? Messenger, I'm sure you will know?

They are set to disappear in Vic at end of season...last one at Ballarat on the last night of the season on Aug 31.

No other state has indicated they will cease SS events.

They are trying to make the Stand popular again by 'naming' the winner for us!

Seeing as though there was a Stand Start for pacers at Hobart yesterday (I don't check them out that often so it may be a regular thing)
I now realize the phasing out of Stands was NOT a National thing
