A Somebeachsomewhere yearling filly just brought $800,000 at the Lexington Sale which, from what I can work out, is close to the world record $825,000 for Detour Hanover. I'm assuming that is still the world record price; anybody know something different?

Hmmm, the results have changed and now she is listed as $550,000. Top price of $800,000 now going to a Muscle Hill yearling!

I am a small time owner. How can you think you can actually make money out of this if you pay that kind of coin ? with that price it would need to win every Group 1 she races in. But then if you can afford that cash, money wouldnt be a worry.

I agree Steven, in particular given that all their feature races require significant pay up to get into the field. From what I see there are not that many who break the million dollar mark in earnings.
