Wow Kev I knew the Yanks were into their parades to promote events. As GP is not far from Perth's CBD and the river foreshore, perhaps some kind of show for next years ID could be a highlight/attraction. I remember having to park on the foreshore to get into GP to see the likes of Pure Steele, Satinova, Village Kid when they were racing in the bigger races. For the final in the 74 the lotteries commission had a big promotion for the ID series in Perth with the lottery winners getting a horse in the final. Unfortunately Just too good fell soon after the start.

Unfortunately the Sky 2 coverage of the race ended before the horses returned to scale and left us with a screen showing the odds for the next race (10 minutes away) that had $160 in the pool. The live streaming of course included it and there's stuff all Youtube if you go looking. Yes they certainly know how to do it!

Also had post race press conferences. Realise Sky have time restrictions and nothing against the presenters who do a great job, but think people would much rather listen to participants than the presenters.
