We tried to save a foal a few weeks ago, but it was born prematurely and died :( The first 'live' foal we have due is out of Stellar Kamwood - truly the nastiest horse we've ever had. That's gonna be fun! Hope the foal takes after the sire personality wise
I've seen a couple of ads chasing surrogate mums already this season too.
Follow The Stars x Elite Angel colt from Pat
Cute as a button - it will be great if FTS can become a super sire
3 days old
oh he's adorable :) Great colour too, and I love white socks
I love foals.
We had one born over night - my birthday :o Hope he's a goodun. Waiting on pics
Happy Birthday for today/yesterday? Katie
Hope to see plenty of photos on here shortly. This is the earliest foal I have ever owned. Came as a total surprise. Photo taken by Mick Holtham at Allwood stud, does a great job does Mick.
Be interesting to see how FTS goes against For a Reason in NSW. FAR started stud duties a bit earlier so has the jump . FAR has a pretty impressive racing record and a fast time under his belt as well. Art major might have a few to keep the line going hopefully
Attachment 769Thanks Kev!!! :)
Here's our baby just a couple hours old. It's actually an RnR Heaven
Nice...the RnR Heavens are going quite well now
Had a foal last week. All went good to start with and then went bad. His Mum decided not to keen on being a Mum. Despite all the efforts of Leigh & Alison Miles (3 nights and days feeding him to keep him alive) things got no better. He got a foster Mum now and the change in him has been unbelievable. All coz of their efforts to keep him alive. And this maybe is where we differ from our thoroughbred counterparts.... we tend to do it all ourselves. They spent 4 days trying to keep a horse alive that may never see a racetrack. Am sure there are many out there that do the same... makes you wonder when you see things like "Trainer fined.. No assessment card". Anyway....
Go Slinky!!!
