Vicbred Finals 2024
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...s/?mc=MX140924
First of all the pacers:
The Stewart stable has 5 in the 4yo C&Gs but this is a fairly open race
Do they need to run the 3yo C&Gs as the stable has 8 of the 12 runners - the owners could just cut a deal
They only have 6 in the 2yo fillies so there is some small chance of them getting beaten
7 in the 2yo C&Gs - they must win this
7 in the 3yo fillies and another that looks all over
Only ONE in the 4yo mares but she has drawn No.1 and is $1.25
Despite the way I have worded this, it is not team racing or else the mare could be beaten - it just seems like it when one stable has 34 of the 72 finalists
In The Trotters there are a couple of races that I am really looking forward to:
Seeing 2yo filly Gatesys Gem again
and the clash between the mares Rockinwithattitude and Susan Is Her Name

Folks, we've produced 3 podcast/vodcast videos covering the Vicbred Super Series Finals at Pacesetters. Every horse in every final gets a mention in the discussion!
I've also put this together for something different (potentially one for the $1 each-way punters looking for a long-shot as an interest on the night).

It's always a fun night VSS Finals. This year looks no different.

HRV cannot take a trick - you don't get much colder days than this one for the middle of September

TrotsVision is doing full coverage tonight

Only one to go for Emma Stewart to make it 6/6 in the Pacing Finals
Not only has she won the first 5 she also has not let any other stable even run second
She has had:
A first seven
A first five
A first four
and 2 Quinellas
Jackie Barker came within a stride of making it 3 Gp1's for herself (having never driven one before) - all at $14 or better
The highlights so far have been Always Hot winning the 2yo C&G's and his 2nd dam having second and fifth in the race too. AH looks like a 4yo!
The time run by 3yo trotting filly Keayang Sahara despite drawing badly

Are HRV broke, unknown and waiting developments. But Emma certainly isn't based on her returns for the night.
-
Steve, do you think she could dominate NSW like this?
-
Only if she set up full-time operations out of Menangle.
