Norm Sait
Hi All, I read recently in an artice by Grant Crane trainer of the great horse Manifold Bay that Grant learnt his trade from a trainer named Norm Sait. I went to school with a Norm and Peter Sait.
Around that time Early/Mid fifities a Percy Sait was training and driving pacers /trotters, I am told he had a good trotter named RangFinder.
One of my brothers tells me Percy was Norm and Peters Father however another brother tells me that Percy was an Uncle. can anyone shine a light on this query please
Best Wishes and Regards
Bob

First search has not come up with much Bob.
There was a nice trotter in NZ called Rangefinder who raced from 6-13yo and won a Gp2 as an 11yo in 1946 but was with a trainer Ces Donald
NZ's online records go much further back and are far superior to Australia's

Thanks Kev, we had a lot of stables in the area as you would be well aware, there as a Cec Rogers, where Percy Saits horses were stabled, One who comes to mind was Jack Bryant who had a very good FFA horse called Prince Regent, and of course early days George Gath was in the block among many galloping trainers. Thanks for your info Kev, Best Wishes Bob
