After a long, protracted and exhaustive inquiry, resulting in a substantial document at days end it has been found that authorities have acted properly and appropriately in its findings and the original ruling stands. If there is a substance detected in a horse on a raceday that should not be there, then under the laws as they stand and no matter how they came to be there, then the original finding stands. There was no other alternate result possible in this case. Next time Lance contests this type of case he might well keep in mind that song "you better get a lawyer son, better get a real good one.
The recent Luke McCarthy finding will forever be regarded as a "one off" that no-one could have forseen.
