Congratulations to the White Family from Huntly, just north of Bendigo, on the Geelong win of their trotter (and sometimes galloper) Blis Valley.
Veteran Trainer Bill White ( 85years young) drove successfully at The Melbourne Showgrounds, Moonee Valley and Melton, with wins on Mystic Robert, Jane's Choice, Ian Spring among them.
Check out the Bendigo Advertiser article by Kieran Iles.

I hope they got some of that $67.90 Noel
They had the right driver on - Michael Bellman is going great guns

Congratulations to Noel Ridge (Adaptor)
Recipient of a Harness Racing Australian Meritorious Service Award on Saturday night

If you read the article you will also see that it has been a big 5 months for Noel
He also received the Graham Goffin Memorial Award for best historical feature for an article
and he was appointed to the Victorian Harness Racing Hall of Fame (VHRHoF) selection committee back in September
Congratulations to Rick (gutwagon)
He bred Final Peace 3yo winner at Bendigo tonight
She came home in a slick 55 flat Rick

Thanks Kevin, David Murphy is doing a great job with her. I leased her out just after she was broken in so she is a nice earner for me. I think she will do well this season.
Congratulations to Trevor on Fides metro win at Melton and his 4/5 last start wins, bred by Weona/Elite

Congrats to Big Kev his stallion P Forty Seven sired a double at Northam tonight
Yes Al, that is our member Big K
Congratulations to the connections of Lion Heart who broke his duck at his 58th start at Geelong (before the meeting was abandoned)
It could only happen at the trots that a horse could be unsuccessful for 57 starts and then start $2.50 fav at his 58th in a mobile start (no massive handicaps)

Hey yea thanks Guy's!!..good to get them when you can..I'm also pretty excited to see Bonavista Boy be the first winner for Bonavista Bay and with a nice mile rate to boot!!..has got 4 starters from 8 3yo foals and I thought Gerry Giraffe showed some good ability at his only 1 start as a 2yo..also Bona Khan showed some blinding speed when driven a bit upside down at his first start in the drivers challenge on Monday. Crompton Bay has gone close too. I sold a nice colt by him at the Perth yearling sales this year and the guy who bought him told me his mate had a Bonavista offspring that showed enormous ability(his words not mine)l till they broke it down..so for me it's fingers crossed.
Final Peace wins again (easily) for Rick

Thanks Keven, she goes best with a sit.
I had to go to the TAB site to get a replay as harness.org has a replay of the previous race. Can't find race 3 replay anywhere on their site. They really have gone down hill lately.
I'll see what I can do
HRV's Cody Winnell has got it fixed for us
Thanks again Kevin, would be nice to see things done right the first time though.
It was nice of E Stewart to delay the start and have the race shoved over to Sky 2 .
Check the stewards report for this race, you'd think E Stewart was an amateur by all the rule breaches and just a $100 fine .

and there certainly are Trevor, congrats again

Yes, FIDES is really putting it together at the moment.
Now 5 wins from his last 6 starts.
Nice tip Big K
Bona Khan paid $6.90 today

Bad news about Gerry Giraffe Big K
http://www.harness.org.au/media-room...?news_id=43212
It is alleged that, under the direction of his father Gregory Burns, Tyson Burns removed the brand of ‘Gerry Giraffe’ following its death to conceal its identity.
Why would you be trying to conceal the identity of a horse if you had nothing to hide
Oh wow that's disappointing..in more ways than one!!!..showed some talent and I thought he would be another smart winner for my stallion..very strange goings on there. I see another was deceased of his 8 foals so effectively he had only 7 foals for the 3yo season...now down to 6.
Congrats to Big Kev....His stallion P Forty Seven siring another double at Northam last night. Coincidentally the winner were the same 2 that saluted the judge at Northam last time!
Hey Cheers..but jeez talk about highs and lows in the horse game..after a nice win on Friday night my trainer rang me this morning to tell me he found "Unwritten Rule" in his yard with a broken leg!!..he has no idea how it could happen, so yea he had to be put down..beautiful horse!! gutted.
Congratulations to Wayne (Arlington)
Cassiopeia wins at Shep today
She has been a model of consistency this time in: 3rd, 2nd, 1st
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...20#SPB07042003
Hoping Fides wins this but I did get bit of a shock starting fave over Pat Stanley.
Congrats again to Trevor, $1.60 in that field suggests the esteem in which he is held - or how much Brendan had on him
Thanks Kev and Noel. We're still smiling, we even smile if we win a trial these days.
I wonder, with little thought, is there a place for some type of regional racing when we've beaten covid? I don't know, like a speciality round the footy have. Or if a couple of races on a country cups program might be limited to locals/region.
Prior to covid, no matter where you went people would say it's good to see a local win. May help participation rates as much as anything else.
edit: and a big thanks to the Shepp club and management for running the back to back meetings.
Paul's Something Fast wins again

It's race meeting 1400 of the Bendigo Harness Racing Club ( formerly Bendigo District Trotting Club) at Lord's Raceway tonight.
And we can't be there to blow out the candles !
Here's a snippet from the Bendigo Addy following the first meeting November 14, 1954
A total of seven races were conducted, with the fastest mile rate recorded being 2:9.80 and prizemoney ranging between 75 and 100 pounds.
Another highlight was a record 103 pounds winning dividend paid on James Dillon in the main event. These were odds of 412/1 for two lucky 5 shilling tickets.
All the great ones..owners, trainers, drivers, and horses have competed in the estimated 11,000 plus races from Gentleman John, Richmoond Lass, Perfect Hanover, Gosh, Paleface Adios, Gammalite, Raiarmagh Pool, Popular Alm, Maoris idol, Scotch Notch, Royal Gaze, Mr Feelgood, Smoken Up...and of course the local hero Adaptor
And I love the James Dillon mention
James Dillon was the son of Dillon Hall as was Gentry
Gentry was the sire of Birdie
Birdie was the 2nd dam of the best one we have had anything to do with - Dillon Dave
