Big Kev's stallion P Forty Seven sired another winner (Regal Aura) at GP today sat in the death for the last 2 laps and returned 31 he also sired a 2nd place in PHI PHI Island who paid $126 for the place
He is certainly going well Jim. The $126 is what it would have paid if it had won (and it was only beaten a HFHD)
Hi Gentlemen, it certainly puts a spring in your step when you breed/own or race a winner!!..I sold Regal Aura at last years yearling sales and the guy bought him only because his earlier buy failed a vet check. Of course nobody wanted him in the ring cause P Forty Seven's are no good!!..but this guy has shown ability in his few starts and it was great to see him win!!..I was screaming the roof off my house trying to get the other boy over the line..but he has this hitchy gate thing and if he could have stopped hopping and skipping he would have most probably won.. I backed Regal Aura who payed around $26 for the win from memory..small amount for the win and 20 places @$4.20 ...only a couple of wins on pp and 10 places!!..it's so exciting when they do well!!..
Final Peace notches up another win for Rick in a slick 1.55.4

Thanks Kevin, she was back to her best last night after a slightly disappointing first up 3rd.
David is trying to have her fit for the Vicbred and Breeders, not an easy job as we are not sure when they will be ! There have been no 3yo races for her class so she has to race against open age horses.
I finally has a nice horse but due to the virus situation there are no big money races around !
I hope you have been backing Forever And A Day too Rick - you would be well in front if you have
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...20#SPC04082002
Yes Kevin have made a nice profit on Forever and a day via punting on him. He has won several times at 20/1 +.
Considering I sold him for $1500 a few years back I still have a long way to break even as far as breeding and training fees go.
I knew he would win plenty of races if you could stop him hitting his knees, turned out that removing the hopples made the most difference . If you watch that last race you could see he was still hitting them pretty bad. You can see his head bobbing up and down when he hits them hard, seemed worse than usual in that run.
Congratulations to
David Aiken
David Miles
John Caldow
Kerryn Manning
Lance Justice
For being held in such regard that they are HRV's approved mentors

There are 2 on that list that surprise me !
Congrats to Big Kev with a winner today at Pinjarra Lovemelovemenot is owned and bred by Kev by the 2005 Little Brown Jug winner P Forty Seven
A great job by caller Luke Humphreys at Bendigo tonight
The young man went to Horsham on Thursday, then up to Mildura last night and then Bendigo tonight
Congratulations to Rick again as Final Peace gets up in R8 at Geelong and pays $13.80

Thanks Kevin, I actually got 34/1 on Sportsbet with the power boost so did very nicely on her. Now to the Breeders Crown and hopefully some nice draws !
Great job by caller Luke Humphreys on the Melton Metro gig tonight 👍
I hope Nathan got some of the $20 the place when Telemachus ran a VG 2nd in R1 at Hamilton today
And the long trip to the Yarra Valley today really paid off what with the Vicbred bonus and all
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...20#YGC11122007
Good odds again
AND Nathan makes it a double (and picks up a VHRC bonus too)
Both horses sat in the death and both owned by the family
It doesn't get much better than that

Kerryn Manning notches up her 4,000 win at local Stawell today

Congratulations to Anne (Bonnie) for Honolua Bay's win tonight - he looked VERY classy
How is Harley Anne?
Thank you .Very happy with Honolua Bay tonight. Always had ability but was injury prone as a youngster. We did a 12 month rehab program at home with him and because he went through his grades quickly he lacks racing experience. There were a few worrying days with Harley but his results on Friday showed a marked improvement . He is still under veterinary care but we are feeling more confident about a good outcome.
Good to hear Anne and I love Josh's interview before his Honolua drive - pointing out that the horse is being taken along patiently to ensure he is a 4yo, 5yo, 6yo .... performer
It has been 2 years and the young man is flying

Congratulations Rick on Final Peace's win in the last at Horsham today
Looked her race to me - Regardless of placing she was breaking $100k (the two favoured runners have a long way to get there)
Even had a tenner on her myself
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#HSC23082101
Thanks Kevin, she has been suffering from bad draws and a virus, hopefully she can win one at Melton soon.
Also the first 100k winner that I have bred so I'm pretty happy, her dam fell just a few k short of it.
The 3yo at Melton today was a good result for past poster Nathan Cahir as he is owner/trainer/driver

We miss our old posters. Where do people talk harness nowadays?
Our numbers have dwindled - especially posters, the Australian Harness Racing Industry Group on facebook only tick along at about the same rate as us
People must talk harness somewhere
A great night for Lauriston at Geelong with 2 sensational wins and a top second by Beach Villa first up
Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda - Rick's Final Peace wins again, this time at headquarters and I know 20/1 was available!

Congratulations to David/jimbob1 (formerly Jimbob) a long time member whose family has sent 2yo trotting filly Susan Is Her Name down from QLD and she has saluted for Emma Stewart today. You might remember David posting about trotter Margaret Jean who is the older half sister to this one
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#MHC26092209
The Wyborn family have a VERY good one in Susan Is Her Name - she put in a super run tonight in the Tatlow

Not only connections but also breeder eliteblood/Trevor would have got a kick out of Fides back to back victories
31 months apart!
