There's just too many ways to do your $$ on the punt. Whilst not as bad as that, I've still got a lot more drinking to do today to try to forget about Vics Cheval's mistake on Fri night.

The "Push Out Pole" moved from 600 metre mark to the 400 metre mark at Menangle, to stop runners coming from the rear being forced wide on the home turn.......let's see how many drivers take up this option!

Another full page story/ad in The Age of 'Why I Work With Thoroughbreds', this time by a retrainer. We can plainly see how much money the gallops have when challenged but I do not see the value of these ads as everyone is thinking - "this is because of the anti-racing campaign"
Daddy Lang has 3 starters in the 3yo trot at Kilmore tonight - why wouldn't he have Gavin on one of them?
Gav is on one for him in the last
Approaching December and from 40+ starters so far this season Jayne Davies has still not got a winner and she did not even get a placegetter tonight - the dam will surely burst soon
Last season 302 starters for 38 winners 52 seconds and 39 thirds

Race 6 Mount Gambier this Sunday.
This would make team driving hard to stick
Hope the truck doesn't break down on the way across!
It has happened in the other codes - I think maybe G Tindale in WA may have done it with some 2YO pacers or perhaps in the old days of North QLD trots it could have happened also.
Someone will know!
They would have agreed to let him just run it at home and text in the result but his home is on the road
Funny thing is he trains on the St Arnaud track yet hardly had a starter at their once a year program recently
Wow good on him.
In fact he has 1 missing, Apple Beach.
Lord Deville first race for the new stable.
Ill have $1000 on Its Not Dark Yet! She won last night with a leg in the air and I got $9 Fixed thnku! Shes flying right now and clearly the best in that stable. Hes done a great job to turn around a horse whose had several trainers including Andy Gath from memory, that had ability but would have more zeros in her form that anything.
Go Team Kiesey!
I was looking to buy lord deville to race here in nsw he looks a type who keeps the prize money coming in
http://www.harnesslink.com/mobile#ur...ice-of-history
He's got 11 in for the day.
Who is Ben Krahe?
He does the markets in the Melbourne Herald Sun for the trots and some of the prices he gives are amazing, I want in on HIS prices!
Would love to get on some of the prices he gives...
With the scratching of Priceless Gem, Noel Shinn will be driving the emergency Alina in the 8th at Melton tomorrow night. Ruth already has Christopher driving Steam Washed
The chronicles say that Noel has already had one drive this season (I missed that one) but none last season
Shipwreck broke in the score up again last night and took no part in the race. I have lost count of the number of times this has happened, a warning was issued and he remains in draw. Doesn't seem to be any consideration for the average punter, I can't remember when horses were made to trial at least two times and then be ODM before being able to start again? Maybe they were the good old days!
Granted their is only 8 runners and some of these aren't actually C6s but has anybody ever seen a C6 only race?
Menangle on Friday there is one.
Our mate the "pastry chef" Adam Francis just drove the last winner at Newcastle R7.....Blizzard of Ozz...............good work!
At Swan Hill tonight, David Jack, Danny O'Bree and Andrew Prothero all trained their first winners for the season. Not breaking any droughts like Jayne Davies yesterday as they had only had a couple of starters between them but no doubt nice to get the scoreboard ticking over - well done men
I made mention of Magic Attack in another thread last week:
"Just caught up with ABOB's 2nd start at Charlton on Monday = public appearances are his future.
Smoken you were right (see ABOB thread) - he will never win a race and I do not think he is doing his stud career any favours (would have been better to keep his lack of ability/speed a secret)
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...ic#CHC24111404
Getting off topic - some improvement by Magic Attack to win that race and notch his first win in 3½ yrs despite death seating in nice time (someone fancied him as he was only 18/1 after being 124/1 the previous week when he did little)"
Back out to $95 today at Maryborough despite winning his last start and he won again!

Betting against the odds on pops would not have done you much good at Ballarat tonight
A couple of even money faves got beaten but the other 5 faves got up
4 of whom were $1.40, $1.30, $1.30, $1.20
You cannot imagine it is good for turnover

I was there to see Hi Tech Fury break the Stawell Tk Rec this month and meant to back him next start and could have cried when I saw he paid nearly $40 on Yarra Glen Cup day.
I could not believe that Blake Redden did not rate him in his top 6 for Cranbourne tonight. Paid $15 this time.
Yep I got hooked on watching all the episodes of Homeland I have missed and completely forgot about him again
No fool like an old fool
They are a patient lot those trotting people - stewards report from Melton on Wednesday...
RACE 8 - MERRY CHRISTMAS PACE (2ND HEAT) (2240 MS)
Chris Mallia, trainer of Pagans Gift, was questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the gelding. Mr Mallia explained that he attributed the performance of Pagans Gift to the gelding being best suited when racing in a forward position. Vincent Langdon, driver of Pagans Gift, added that he was surprised of the sectionals recorded by Pagans Gift as he did not feel Pagans Gift was actually travelling as fast as evidenced by the sectional times recorded.
Post-race blood samples were collected from Pagans Gift at 8:30pm, two and a half hours subsequent to this event.
Why would the samples have been taken so late esp as it was the last race?
Popular Victorian trainer Wally Ibbs passed away suddenly at the weekend. Wally trained down Geelong way for around 50 years, and had numerous winners, with one of his best horses in more recent years being Monarco Man (2007 Warragul Cup). Pictured is Wally and wife Ralda with Monarco Man's driver, Ross Payne
Albion Park meeting already abandoned for tonight. I thought the track should have handled 15mm since 5am this morning
St Arnaud racing at Charlton today. I am pretty sure their only home meeting is their Cup and you have to love the name of the last race today
'311 DAYS TO ST ARNAUD CUP PACE'
(maybe there is not much to look forward to at St A - joking of course)
The calendar has not been released that far ahead so liking the confidence!
I expect there is a big Carlton contingent at the Albury meet tonight with our champion Chris Judd driving.
There is a small mistake in the fields with a (C) after his name - he is no longer Captain ;)

Bloody big crowd at Albury Kev.
Race 3 Gloucester Park... http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-re...wa#GPM02011504
Does anyone know the form around this race? The race call expected him to launch and entering the back straight launch he did - 3rd quarter 28.4 went from last to 1st 4 wide. Awesome change of pace.
It went pretty well at its previous start Norman but nothing like it did when winning, That was certainly a huge burst of speed.
