Another little grizzle. I wanted to see the prize-money breakdown for Melton last night but the results have nothing in the prize-money column so I thought I will get it from HRA by clicking on the winner and via their performance page click on the race code and find it on the HRA db but HRA has not been updated yet.
I suppose everyone has to have a holiday some time
Hey everybody with TC appropriately sorting out where all the furniture belongs (redirecting posts/threads to the correct forums)
We all have to remember to look further than the Australian Harness Racing thread
The best tip for navigating the board that anybody gave me (I think it was from Breno) was
Make sure you are Logged In then
click the NEW POSTS tab (right next to Private Messages) whenever you come on for a read
It will then list every thread that has had an update since you last visited
Ashlee Seijka facebook " Races at Orange today witnessed team driving at its best!! What a joke to the industry!!"
Assuming she talking about fast class race. What did everyone think? i only listened on radio but I thought 69 half gives drivers back in field big chance to come round.
She may have every right to be upset at the result for her own horse, but I don't think she can hide behind the 'joke for the industry' line given the Seijkas camp history.
Worth a thread?
Colin and Paleface's home. http://raywhiteruraltemora.com.au/nsw/temora/1259253/
That is a fantastic photo.
What do you think Wayne, I reckon Emu Rock Standardbreds should buy Paleface's place
Well Kev, just between you and me, the big man did say something about heading down to see the Bendigo Harness Museum via Temora.
Murray Jardine now training Hotasel the ex Cramp pacer
see Nyah tonight

$9 winner and only .5 sec outside the Tk Rec

"An inquiry was adjourned into the conduct of trainer Emma Stewart upon leaving the Stewards Room after Race 9."
This was in the stewards report from MELTON on Saturday night noted under race 8. Has anyone any idea what her issue was?
I know he is owner/trainer/breeder but wouldn't you get the vet in straight away?

It is time for the colours in the form guide to match those worn in the race.
I am guessing the callers at least get an update
I am not even a big wrap for the various promos which see a change in colours
eg Race 3 Melton just run, how was it that the winner was in green and yellow?
Sometime the "callers update" only comes when they actually look out the window and check with their own eyes! Especially with stablemates etc, let alone with "special" sets thrown in
Pity it is going to be 40° or I might have gone
It should be a good race

Richard's favourite horse Uncle Wingnut smashed his track Record after missing the start somewhat (and then sitting 3w a lap) but could only run 3rd
and forget about buying a lotto ticket this week - you used up all your luck at Charlton
Not only did JC win the Cup check out the video of how he stayed in the cart in the last when the replay comes up (and still endeavoured to run a drum)

My Gandfather trained his first winner on Friday night at Leeton with Ruato Bay. Is 82 year old the oldest trainer to train his first winner?
Uncle Wingnut has bit me on the bum a few times in exotic's Kev ever since I mentioned that I thought his name was silly, Maybe a silly name but plenty of ability and another good run today.
That is a great achievement and a great question Grant - historians start researching
(He had better watch out - I do not plan to start training until I am 83)
Grant,
Good on him, how long has he been training for?
Obviously he is a very active person and great to see, hopefully we can read more about his story in Trottguide and on the links.
As for being a record, it is in my book.
All the best and hope he gets a stack more before he gives it away.
Rob Nalder
I must confess that he has worked horses all his life but only took his liscence out about twelve months ago. Does drive all his own track work though. If it's not a record I guarantee he could hold the record for the crankiest trainer.....
Would have to be close. Not the oldest to have trained a winner but maybe the oldest to land his first anyway!
I'm going to be sent to the naughty corner but so be it. I tried to let it go and was relying on somebody else bringing it up but that hasn't happened. I'm 'POSITIVE' that after breaking out of the gate and losing 6 lengths, one shouldn't then be pressuring the leader (after also making a pretty quick run around the field) into a 56.7 sec first half effectively leaving your charge totally spent at the 700m mark. POSITIVE!
Yarra Glen must be a pretty fast track nowadays
They had three 1650m races before the rain, all won with times in the 1.56's
Then after the track was rated Rain Affected they had another three 1650m races, all won with times in the 1.57's
I see the Pacing Priest Father Brian Glasheen had a winner last night at Echuca, Russell Jack trains the winner but strangely, His son Nathan wasn't the driver and finished last on another horse.
Maybe it's common knowledge to some, but it wasn't to me and I've seen quite a few people mention it over the years. Once fields are out it's hard to know what the exact conditions of the race were. Short of having a gazette which changes anyway I've heard a few moan about the fact the fields and/or form section doesn't list out the total conditions, and of course races change a bit after noms especially now in NSW.
So what you do is go to the meeting calendar area on harness.org.au. Use Maryborough today as an example. If you just go into meeting calendar and click on Maryborough it will take you to the fields. So instead, do a program search (just search C0 or C1 because most meets have these) and it will come up with at least one race. Click on the link and it will open up the original race conditions.
What's happening with the Maryborough's replays from today???
Seem to be OK now Rich - I figure you are wanting to look at how easily Time Capsule won a C0 in 1.56
If not for a $35 roughie, every Fav would have got up at Mildura tonight

Thanks Kev, Actually it was Race 2 that Myself and Wayne would be interested in, The winner is from a full sister to a mare i used to own, Got the replay up but the Volume is a problem now, We both have close family members coming along and hopefully a bit of glory will bless us in the next couple of years.
Bruce Morgan trained his first winner for the season when $3.20 fav Milady Denver won the last at Bendigo last night.
A slow start to the season for Bruce as he trained 17 winners last year
Next week when we pass the half way mark of the season, I plan to do a thread on who are the big movers so far this season
Mister Wickham would appear to be "back" based on his trial win at Warragul this morning.

Overall they ran their last quarter in 27.8 hand timed so with MW coming from off the speed he has finished off in great style. Assessed 3C0 they may look at the Warragul Guineas in around five weeks time, perhaps something sooner.
What a run by Bettor Downunder to run fourth in the 8th race @ Geelong! Ginormous!
Worth watching
