That may not be a totally bad thing as I am not sure that he has been able to keep track of them all

A little surprised to see Mighty Mav - just turned 5yo and not having raced until 4yo, going around in a claimer at Melton tonight for a mere $12k price.
He has a 21-5-2-5 record and is only a C4 M0 and he ran a mighty 3rd behind Jilliby Jagger and Mactera Lad in a M0 a forthight ago
4 claimers tonight (max price 12k) and not a single horse claimed - unless the stewards comments have missed one
I think you will find Kev that because it was a series of claiming heats with a final next week, no claims are allowed in the heats only in the final. Invariably if there was an excellent run in the heat then there is usually multiple
claims for the horse in the final.
Form guide has been upgraded to provide complete horse's history including New Zealand starts - looks great and makes checking horses performance from the fields so much easier!

This is an excellent Harness Racing video celebrating 200 years of how the Standardbred help "build" America!

Which talented Aussie can do a True Blue version??? How good would that be?
Great find Ash, interesting to watch
I'm not completely sold yet Tony. Unless I am missing something it is not as detailed as the form guide but a quicker way to get performance history from the fields / starters. I wish they had a trainers column as a lengthy search on harnessweb is still the only way to see a change of trainer
We still need HRA for breeding searches as the RISE way takes you nowhere if you click on the dam etc
Ps Something has to be done about the new Captcha codes that you have to provide to access a HRA search. There is no regenerate option so when you a get a character that nobody in the room can decipher twice in a row! It can take you 3 cracks to break the bloody code
6 claimed in the final

Actually no that disappointed that mine was one of the four that didn't get claimed. We'll see if he gets a gig in the claiming masters in a couple of weeks.
He's been a good horse and has well and truly paid his way.
Was talking with my brother about Mighty Mav. He's gone 11312333312 in his past 11 and only started 22 times.
A trial aimed at seeing if they can reduce the number of short Odds On pops

(Thanks for tipping me off Rich)
It would seem that Terang tonight was really struggling for starters.
Only 6 races and if 2 of them had not been heats to a final, they could have been combined to make one race
Can't believe there hasn't been more comment about this piece Ash, A fantastic find and I would also like to see a Southern Hemisphere equivalent, We've had our share of great horses and events over the years and something similar being produced in our parts would be a great advertisement for the game.
A lot of hobby trainers turn their horses out for winter because it is too wet and muddy to use their home tracks. Also no 2yo races until December. I think it will be a problem for the next few months. Long term it will be a major problem with less foals being born every season, so unless they can turn this around 6 and 7 race cards will be very common.
Noel and his Bendigo 70's theme has been upstaged by Shep and their sixties hit Lombo, Lombo, Lombo tonight
In reverse order: Mischif Made Lombo, Koten Blosem Lombo and Magic Moment Lombo all won
Magic Moment Lombo has now won 8 races at Shep having had more than half of her 50+ starts there.
(her only other 3 wins have all been at Cobram - she clearly does not like being too far from home)

What other current day track specialists do we have going around?
Apologies to Arnold Dorsey (Englebert Humperdinck)
codes are gone in general they appear when you go to the hra online to get the mares other foals in my experience.it seems user friendly to be.
Mister Douglas was claimed at Cranbourne last night and is now out of the Joanne Justice stable which has created quite a deal of discussion.
Will this be the first time in 300 starts that he has not called Toolern Vale home? (Has someone claimed him for their pet?)
In another thread I suggested that only a 6 race program at Swan Hill last night was a bit of a worry but I did not realize that fellow Murray town Echuca was on tonight so that may have stretched the local horse population a little as they are only about 120k apart. I would imagine the programming is aimed at catching a few school holidaymakers so I hope they were heavily promoted and did/do well
After a nasty fall the 4th at Echuca tonight was rerun but now telecast on Sky2, which gave one the pleasure of hearing a Norway gallop call before it - funniest thing ever. Caller was working off their numbers which he admitted to not being able to see - saying things like "it is hard to see", "its number 5 or is it number 6?" ..... Paul you could lose Luke to Norway as soon as next week
Punters must not rate Mildura form. R.1 winner at Ballarat tonight Laquila drew 2, had Greg Sugars on for the first time, had won 3 and placed 3 of her previous 9 and paid $40
R.5 Ballarat Volkswagen Pace - horses were tested for emissions :D
ps Lance Justice trained a running treble and none were favs
The last at Geelong tonight felt like a Sydney gallops race (ala Chris Waller)
Pretty hard for the punters to know which way to go when Geoff Webster had the top 3 picks
Doug's Limousine $2.90
Angel of the City $3.50
The Harlem Hammer $3.60

Don't know if that was the race or if it was an earlier one but the turn into the home straight is a right angle and horses went everywhere rounding it. Luke listens to that bloke all the time. Some of his calls are very 'entertaining'. There's no direct link to this one so will try explain how to get to it as its worth a listen...
Go to http://www.skyracing.com.au/
Click on the FORM GUIDE on the right hand side of screen bout half way down
Then click on SEARCH Tab
Enter 13-08-2014 in the Date from and Date to fields
Then click on SEARCH button
Its on the second screen so click NEXT and then click on TABY (SE) thoroughbreds
And then you want Race 6 and click on the little speaker thingo to listen
Comes up just near the end of race..
No Luke you cannot use that term when calling races :)
UNBELIEVABLE Paul.
Paul's instructions are spot on - it is worth the search LOL
The Canola Cup meeting at Eugowra looked another great day on TV, and the main straight had the most unique floral display befitting the day.
Steve, I saw a bit of it on Sky and being a Vic did not know the track so I looked it up and was surprised to see it was 800m as it did not even look that on TV
Watched the replay of the last at Shep to see if the wind was a factor - it would appear not and no mention by the caller although the BOM says there were gusts of up to 59 km/h at time of running.
Our poor galloping brethren had no Kilmore meet today as the wind forced its abandonment after part of the poly running rail was blown down before the first and the wind had still not abated over an hour later - they did have gusts up to 89km/h according to the BOM.
Another advantage of our well trained standardbreds I guess - we only need pegs not a running rail
Can you imagine being strong enough to be able to to charge $50 admittance for patrons to come in and spend more money (Caulfield today)
With the October heat wave we have been experiencing, I was looking forward to Ararat trots tonight. How unlucky can they be, first cool day for yonks with the Apparent (feels like) temp already dropping to single digit by 4pm
Kevin
You missed Tanya Cavallaro winning on a Manning trained horse in the last. First win since her accident at Melton when she broke her leg badly falliing off during a MOnte.
Newcastle race 1 today. Never really seen a stranger run...how are those arms Angel Lauren?
Wow....the winner bolted, broke, took the lead again and continued to bolt.
Was that Lauren Pinellas first drive back after injury?
That was a very difficult drive !
Must not have stretched her arms as she came out and won the next on a $1.04 fav.
No value at Newcastle with the first two each at $1.04
They could have dispensed with the judge at Horsham today.
The average winning margin for the 8 race program was >13m (between 1st and 2nd of course)
Anybody know what has become of Chilli Palmer?
It must have been meal time between 8.00 and 8.30 tonight at Ballarat for the HRA/HRV results page is missing Race 4
The TAB tells us $1.10 fav Linda Lovegrace won but we will have to wait for someone to wake up to find out times etc.
Picky bastard aren't I
Lance keeps driving his horses like they're Trigger... Garabaldi had no hope at all the way he was driven, even to place!
