Mick Lombardo has Million To One, Lombo Pocket Watch, Lombo Mandingo and up until his death Saab and possible more. Went to the Lombo sale's recently and the Lombo Pocket Watch and Lombo Mandingo stock looked quiet good for the time of year in development and looks. Most of the Pocket Watches were stamped with almost black grey and the Mandingos were good on the eye big and flashy.
Hi Nat,
Lombo Pocket Watch was a good young horse. I would not breed to him, there are others more attractive.
Lets hope Mr Lombardo see's the light and get a decent stallion, he has the staff and the property. All that is needed is the correct horse, makes me think that someone should sell him a stallion!
Neil,
It could be said that he did the same thing trying to sell CCullen at his $20,000 plus service fee,
and at time with little semen to supply.
By the way they have worked that out and all is good know.
Cullen was (is) owned by Ian Dobson
I get the feel with Mick Lombardo that he likes to give his own horses a chance and do his own thing I'm sure he has had the opportunity several times to get a well credentialed stallion but has stuck with his own
Time will tell on Lombo Pocket Watch but one things for sure he will get every opportunity to prove himself
I see Lombo Pocket Watch is nominated for the Inters next year in Christchurch.
I seen that and some nice young budding stars nominated could not say what LPW plans are would be nice articale for Harnesslinks
I have 4 decent broodmares here in the US.
